Clairisse E. Nash
While working as an ecological intern, community outreach and volunteer coordinator for FPC, Clair is currently working towards a bachelors degree in environmental science with an emphasis in biology at Northern Arizona University. She expects to graduate in the winter of 2009. She has been involved with the Yuma East Wetlands project since January of 2006 and was one of the first local students (then at Arizona Western College) to work on the project. After working for a week collecting soil samples that were used to develop a water-depth analysis table of the site, Clair kept up an interest in the wetlands project which led to her position with FPC today. She also is a writer, and has written articles about the project for the AWC student newspaper and for a local magazine. Clair now uses her skills in communication to promote community involvement with the wetlands and coordinates volunteer work at the site while also assisting with other aspects of the project.
