David Blanchard
David Blanchard gained appreciation of fertile soils, sensitive ecosystems, and habitats growing up in the bayous and sugarcane fields of southern Louisiana.  David graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University in 2006.  Finally joining the real world he accepted a job in south Florida working for a Landscape Architecture and Landplaning firm. During his years in Florida he worked on a variety of projects including: the master planning of community developments, small-scale commercial, mixed-use, streetscapes, and urban infill projects.  He also assisted in numerous neighborhood design charrettes and public presentations.  After two and half years working behind a desk with Florida developers David decided to reconnect with the natural world he grew to appreciate during his formative years. He joined Fred Phillips Consulting as a designer and restoration program manager in late 2008.  Through this change he was able to reconnect with his passion, working to restore and preserve the natural landscapes that first inspired him to pursue the field of Landscape Architecture.

David is in the process of getting his licensure in Landscape Architecture, getting certified to complete field surveys and wetland delineations.
