John Mahkewa
John is our native interpreter and revegetation specialist, John is originally from Parker, Arizona, and from the Hopi Tewa Indian Tribe.  John is an artist, musician, spiritual leader and now works on the Yuma East Wetlands project full time.  His work includes giving interpretive tours of the wetlands project and gathering plant material, constructing revegetation projects and caring for more than 350 acres of restored riparian habitat.
