Martha Brabec
Martha is a transplant from the verdant and great state of Wisconsin.  After graduation from the University of Wisconsin in 2005 with a B.S. in agricultural biology, she moved to New Mexico to pursue any interests other than finding gainful employment.  Throughout her travels in Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado, she developed a lasting interest in the culture and landscape of the American southwest. Since moving to Yuma, Martha has completed an internship in wetland restoration with the Bureau of Land Management. Her work included rare plant surveys, avian spot counts, riparian seed collection, and restoration site maintenance.   Prior to living in Arizona, Martha worked as a horticulturist at the Chicago Botanic Garden, a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, a ski instructor in Utah, and a raft guide on the Chattooga River.
